Scheduling Information

The Upson County Magistrate Court Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Court sessions are scheduled at multiple intervals during weekdays, with additional sessions on designated weekends and holidays when necessary. A Magistrate is available on an on-call basis at all times to address emergency warrant matters. In accordance with statutory requirements, warrant and first appearance hearings are to be scheduled within 48 hours following an arrest, or within 72 hours if an arrest occurs with an active warrant.

Civil Matters (Civil Cases, Dispossessions, and Evictions)
 • 1st & 3rd Weeks: Hearings are held on Monday and Wednesday at 9:00 A.M.
 • 2nd & 4th Weeks: Hearings are held on Tuesday and Thursday at 9:00 A.M.

Show Cause Hearings
 • Schedule: To be announced, with sessions commencing at 9:00 A.M.

Preliminary Hearings
 • Held on Wednesdays at 9:00 A.M. on an alternate-week basis, beginning January 15th.

County Ordinance Violations
 • Plea Day: Occurs on the first Thursday of each month at 9:00 A.M.
 • Hearings: To be announced, with sessions commencing at 9:00 A.M.

First Appearances
 • Conducted on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 2:00 P.M.
 • An on‑call judge is available on Sunday afternoons as required.
