The Planning Commission shall consist of at least three but no more than five members.
All members must reside within the unincorporated areas of the Upson County, and they shall be appointed by the Board of Commissioners.
None of the members of the Planning Commission may hold any other public office; however, they may also be members of the Thomaston-Upson County Planning Commission.
Commission members may be removed by the Board of Commissioners for cause, upon written charges, and after a public hearing.
Members of the Planning Commission will be disqualified to act upon any matter before the Planning Commission in which they have a personal financial interest or other conflict of interest.
The term of each member of the Planning Commission is for three years. Any vacancy in the membership will be filled for the unexpired term of the vacating member.
